Who we are
Denis Wilson is firmly established as one of the UK’s leading consultancies in sustainable transport planning and infrastructure design, with over 20,000 projects successfully completed.
In April 2007 The Denis Wilson Partnership, now known as Denis Wilson, was acquired by Royal Haskoning, a global company of consultants, engineers and architects. Joining this worldwide organisation enables Denis Wilson to provide a wider range of services, expertise and experience which will result in greater opportunities for both clients and staff.
Denis Wilson was formed in 1979 specialising in traffic engineering and highway design. In 1988 Denis Wilson and Partners became a private limited company, and as a result three companies were formed under a separate Board of Directors. In 1991 following the purchase of the founding Partners’ shares these companies merged to form the Denis Wilson Partnership Limited. In 2002 following the successful completion of a management buy-out, Graham Bignell was appointed Managing Director of the Denis Wilson Partnership Group.
Royal Haskoning was originally founded in 1881 and is an international company with its headquarters in Nijmegen, Holland. Within the UK the company dates back to 1885. Royal Haskoning is a firm of consultants, engineers, architects and environmental scientists delivering sustainable solutions for people and the environment. The UK focuses on renewable energy, waste, regeneration, oil & gas and climate change. The group’s staff number totals 4,200 worldwide.
